So the first post ever on a new blog is... awkward.
It's like a bad first date. Especially when he shows up early.
Or like when you say hi to a very casual friend you haven't seen in forever. And then say bye. And then not only go the same direction, but get in the same elevator. For four floors. (I mean, not that that happened to me today or anything.)

Now you know that I like Harry Potter and polar bears, so I suppose this post isn't completely worthless. Yet, to the following list of awkward merit badges, I petition that first-post-on-a-new-blog be added. And I've successfully earned all of the badges, bee-tee-dub (except the public boner. Shocking, right? #sarcasm, #obviously). Some of them today (more than I'm willing to admit to the blogosphere out there).
